Case Studies (Stiles, 2005)

What does the first exchange tell? Dialogical sequence analysis and assimilation in very brief therapy (Stiles, Leiman, Shapiro et al., 2006)

Building a Meaning Bridge: Therapeutic Progress From Problem Formulation to Understanding (Brinegar, Salvi, Stiles & Greenberg, 2006)

Comment by Bill Stiles:

"I am attaching three reprints. The 2005 chapter is a summary of my main argument about the logic of theory-building case studies. My workshop will be mostly based on this, though there are now some additional points and elaborations. The other two articles report studies where I and my collaborators have applied the logic of theory-building case studies in research on the assimilation model. I don't expect to focus on the assimilation model in my workshop, but I could refer people to these articles if they'd like detailed examples. So it would be nice if the participants could have electronic access to them. It's not essential for them to read any of this, as I won't be using it directly during the workshop, but those who have read some of it may be able to ask better questions and help the process along."

You may use them on your Laptop or you may use a printed version (we are going to make a copy for those who do not have a Laptop or do not want to use them on their PC).
Articles: You may read them, but you do not need to read them in advance in order to understand the content of the workshop of Giancarlo Dimaggio.
